Job summary

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Cafe Assistant in Bristol to support daily operations in our hospital cafes. You will prepare and serve food and drinks, assist with stock, and help maintain a welcoming, clean environment for NHS staff, patients and visitors.

Shifts include a mix of early and day hours, with part-time opportunities and a pro rata salary. A friendly, customer-focused approach and the ability to work well within a team are essential.

Whether you’ve worked in hospitality for years, or fancy a change of direction, this could be the role for you!

You’ll be part of the team keeping our cafés running smoothly, from preparing and serving food and drinks to helping customers, handling payments, managing stock and keeping everything clean, safe and welcoming. Your customers will include NHS staff, visitors and patients, so a friendly face and great service can make a real difference to someone’s day.

Shifts are Monday - Friday, and will be between 06:30-14:30 and 10:30-18:30. Although these do rotate, there is a level of flexibility which can be discussed at interview.

We are recruiting to 37.5 hours and 15 hours a week vacancies.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Providing a courteous and efficient service to patients, visitors and staff.
