Job summary

A seasonal café team in Horsham is seeking enthusiastic Café Assistants to help create a magical experience for guests at Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens. Responsibilities include serving drinks and snacks, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean café area. Ideal candidates will have experience in hospitality, strong interpersonal skills, and a cheerful disposition. Contract work runs from mid-November to late December 2025.

Location : Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens

Shifts : Weekdays and / or Weekends

Dates : November 14th 17th 18th 19th 20th 21st 22nd 23rd 24th 27th 28th 29th and 30th; December 1st23rd 2025

Timings : From 16 : 00 until late (earliest finish 21 : 00 latest 23 : 00)

What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities) :

Café Cheer & Service :

• Help serve hot drinks (make fresh coffee tea hot chocolate) and tasty treats to warm up happy guests!
• Assist at the counter : Take orders handle payments and keep the line moving with a smile.
• Support street food stalls : Hand out snacks wraps and festive bites.

Keep It Spotless & Welcoming :

• Clean & reset tables quickly so guests can relax and enjoy.
• Wipe counters restock supplies and tidy the café area.
• Chat with familiesshare menu tips and spread holiday magic!

Team Support :

• Use a radio to chat with the Café Manager & team (full training provided).

Skills We Love :

• Experience in cafés bars or restaurants required (e.g. making coffee serving food).
• Experience in hospitality or customer service required .
• Confidence using a radio to stay connected with the team.
• Comfortable working indoors in our cozy café (coats provided for any outdoor trips!).
• Strong interpersonal skills & a customer-focused smileperfect for chatting with families!
