Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cadet Tutor to join one of the UK's leading training providers. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a background in the military or Cadet forces who is passionate about inspiring young people and supporting them to realise their full potential.

As a Cadet Tutor, you will play a key role in the design, delivery, and development of the Cadet Programme, ensuring it meets national requirements, local community needs, and employer expectations. You will support cadets in the classroom and take a lead role in mentoring, guidance, and pastoral support throughout their training journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective classroom-based and practical training to cadets
  • Mentor and support cadets, helping them develop confidence, skills, and employability
  • Develop and adapt the Cadet Programme in line with national standards and local needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design, deliver, and evaluate all aspects of the programme
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in Cadet Programme provision
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous military or Cadet experience
  • A recognised teaching or training qualification (e.g. QTS, QTLS, DTTLS, PGCE)
  • First Aid at Work qualification
  • At least one outdoor education qualification (e.g. RYA, BCU or equivalent)
  • Proven experience facilitating Cadet programmesStrong, ongoing interest in developments within Cadet education and training
