Job summary

A leading energy recruitment agency is looking for a CAD Technician in Swindon. The candidate will be responsible for interpreting architect's drawings and designing insulation systems. Key skills required include proficiency in AutoCAD and excellent communication abilities. This position offers a salary range of £35,000 - £40,000 and typical working hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.

Qualifications

  • Experience within the construction/structural/civil engineering sectors.
  • An understanding of basic U-values.
  • Able to inspire confidence and develop long-term relationships.

CAD Technician

Location: Swindon

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Our client based in Swindon are looking for a CAD Technician to join their rapidly growing company!

Responsibilities
  • Interpret architect’s drawings
  • Design tapered insulation systems to drain and insulate flat roofs
  • Calculate U-values, condensation risk analysis and acoustic performance through to material take-offs
  • Work closely with clients, the design team and project architects
  • Manage compliance checks against the specifications and client requirements
  • Attend design development meetings
  • Undertake site visits to check progress
  • On the job training will be provided for specialist design software used
Ideal Candidate
  • AutoCAD proficient
  • Competent in MS Office
  • Experience within the construction / structural / civil engineering sectors
  • An understanding of basic U-values
  • The ability to read construction drawings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to inspire confidence and develop long term relationships
  • Has a ‘Can do’ attitude
  • Good work ethic and aptitude for continuous learning and improvement
  • Able to work under own initiative and meet deadlines
  • Punctual, smart and hardworking
Working Hours
  • Monday – Friday
