An opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAD Technician / Engineer to join a leading main contractor delivering a major civil infrastructure project.

Role

As CAD Technician / Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting engineering and site delivery through high‑quality drawings and models. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing 2D/3D drawings and models for temporary works, logistics layouts, and survey modelling
  • Providing CAD support to site teams, engineers, and temporary works coordinators
  • Ensuring drawing updates and revisions are accurately tracked and issued
  • Liaising with design, engineering, and delivery teams to capture buildability requirements
  • Maintaining drawing registers and supporting document control processes
Requirements
  • Experience working within a civil engineering or infrastructure environment
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (MicroStation or similar CAD software also suitable)
  • Experience producing drawings for temporary works or construction site activities
  • Attention to detail, strong communication, and organisational skills
  • Relevant HNC / HND / Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
