Job summary

Zohorecruit in London is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join an established electrical design and build contractor. You will draft 2D electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and switchgear drawings using AutoCAD, supporting multi‑phase installations across high‑end commercial projects.

The role requires at least 2 years' UK CAD drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with lighting design tools (DiaLux) or cable calculation software (Amtech/Trimble).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of professional CAD Technician experience in UK building services.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Exposure to electrical design concepts and schematics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D electrical layouts and single-line diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Draft drawings for main switchgear, distribution, lighting, and power distribution to mechanical plant.
• Assist with technical submissions and design calculations using Amtech, DiaLux, and Trimble.
• Coordinate drawings and technical data across multi‑phase installations from pre‑construction to handover.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and main contractors to ensure buildable solutions.
