General Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and solution-focused CAD Technician to join our team at Witheridge. If you have experience using CAD, enjoy working collaboratively, and want to contribute to British agriculture through practical design work, this role offers a great opportunity to make an impact. About The Role

Contract: Permanent


Hours: Full time


Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week, working Monday to Friday


As a CAD Technician, you’ll support the Design Department by producing accurate drawings, quotes, and material lists for manufactured items and steel frame buildings. You’ll liaise with suppliers, respond to customer enquiries, and help identify opportunities for cost and process improvements. This is a varied role that combines technical delivery with customer service and commercial awareness.


Key Responsibilities


  • Producing accurate quotes and drawings for standard and bespoke products

  • Preparing material lists to support production

  • Handling customer enquiries and understanding their requirements

  • Liaising with suppliers to source products and make technical enquiries

  • Reviewing completed jobs to ensure cost accuracy

  • Supporting continuous improvement in manufacturing practices

  • Collaborating with the wider team to deliver service excellence


About You


  • Experience using CAD software

  • Strong IT and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks

  • Flexible, proactive, and eager to learn

  • Familiarity with agricultural products or steel buildings is beneficial

  • Awareness of Health & Safety and GDPR (training provided)
