Job Title – CAD Technician

Project – Commercial Fit Out

Job Location – Armagh

Salary – £35K - £40K +

About the Company

Working alongside a longstanding and reputable Fit Out Contractor with a reputation for delivering a diverse range of bespoke fit out packages to clients.

Their established design team requires a CAD Technician with experience in joinery, fit out or fitted furniture to assist in the increased work.

The Role

• Taking briefs and ideas from project managers, clients, and designers to produce detailed working drawings.
• Working with approved drawings to create production drawings.
• Liaising closely with the Project Managers and Production managers to establish cost-effective and efficient ways to manufacture projects within budget and to specification.
• Once drawings have been approved engage in handover meetings with the Production Manager and provide ongoing support.
• Ensuring the work is completed in a timely manner and within budget.
• Reviewing and updating Bill of Materials.
• Procurement of project-specific materials.
• Assist with any ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Requirements

• Have 5 years’ demonstrable experience of working as a CAD Technician in the joinery/ fit out industry.
• Strong understanding of bespoke furniture and joinery.
• Hold a relevant degree or qualification in design, architecture, furniture manufacture or similar.
• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
• Be confident in dealing with various stakeholders (clients, staff, architects, designers, etc).
• Confident in navigating various IT systems, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Able to work autonomously.
