Job description

An excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician is now available with a reputable Civils and Groundworks company based near Livingston. This is a great chance to join a friendly, experienced team. You will be joining them at a busy time as they are winning regular contracts with new and existing housebuilding clients. You will be responsible for creating 3D ground and foundation models whilst also liaising with Site Engineer and Designers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models of site and foundation designs using a variety of CAD software programmes.
• Translating drawings into CAD systems.
• Reading, evaluating and interpreting designs and drawings.
• Processing & digitising point cloud data.
• Calculating volumes and applying knowledge of earthworks principles to the project.
• Presenting working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, construction and completion.
• Documenting and updating drawings.
• Maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

• CAD software programme experience (N4ce, LSS, AutoCAD etc).
• Able to create high quality detailed technical drawings and plans.
• Communicate with a variety of site-based colleagues, engineers and designers.
