Overview

Formby Surveys continues to grow and we’re looking for a CAD Technician (based in Liverpool) to join our team.

We are seeking a candidate to join our team who can demonstrate key skills as a CAD Technician working with both 3D point clouds and 2D data. It’s important to note that this is not a design position – we are specifically looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years experience as a CAD Technician working within the geospatial sector, capable of processing survey data and delivering projects to a high standard. The candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of CAD, and its application within a reality capture and geospatial surveying company.

Responsibilities

• Working with point cloud data to produce accurate 2D CAD drawings.
• Contributing to prestigious projects around the UK.
• Working within our internal CAD department dedicated to drawing production.
• Collaborating with all our internal survey departments.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with 3D point clouds & 2D data.
• A thorough understanding of AutoCAD and other Autodesk products.
• Working knowledge of blocks, plotting, layering, external references, coordinate grids & datums.
• Time management skills with an emphasis on delivery.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
