Overview

Location: Remote (occasional site work if required, but mainly desk-based). Engagement: Project-based, associate / subcontractor.

Our client are seeking a CAD Technician (or engineer with strong drafting capability) to produce Hazardous Area Zoning Diagrams for water treatment and anaerobic digestion facilities. Input will be provided via site sketches, layouts, and assessor mark-ups. Output will need to be professional, clear, and provided in both PDF and editable formats.

Responsibilities

• Produce Hazardous Area Zoning Diagrams (Zone 0/1/2) for each site, to agreed template and scale.
• Interpret engineering mark-ups and translate into accurate, scaled drawings.
• Ensure outputs are professional, clear, and delivered in PDF and editable CAD/Visio formats.

Requirements

• Strong CAD experience (AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Visio).
• Ability to interpret engineering mark-ups and translate into accurate scaled drawings.
• Experience with process plant layouts (water treatment, utilities, or oil & gas desirable).
• Attention to detail and consistency across multiple diagrams.

Deliverables

• Zoning diagrams (Zone 0/1/2) for each site, to the agreed template and scale.
• Output in PDF and editable CAD/Visio formats.
