Job description

Proeon Systems part of RSK Group is hiring for a CAD Supervisor to join the team on a full‑time basis at Proeon's engineering centre in central Norwich, Norfolk, UK. This is a supervisor and management role of the CAD design resources together with the development of detailed designs and CAD drawings for control systems.

Responsibilities

• Preparing GA layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches & diagrams
• Preparing detailed manufacturing drawings, checking dimensions of parts, the materials to be used, the relation of one part to another and parts to the whole assembly
• Preparing design concepts for bid purposes
• Preparing electrical schematic drawings using 2D or AutoCAD electrical packages
• Managing CAD and engineering design standards and libraries

Qualifications

• PC literate with experience of Word, Excel and databases
• Experience of AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD electrical and 3D design
• Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to travel to client sites as necessary
• Professional conduct compatible with the company's goals and aims
• Proven leadership skills in a similar role (advantageous)
• Positive attitude and ability to lead a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to plan and organise efficiently and effectively
