A leading structural steelwork group in the United Kingdom is seeking a CAD Modeller to join their Sales and Estimating team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Tekla Modelling, with at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a Structural Steel environment. Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education. The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!
In the CAD Modeller position you will be working within the Sales and Estimating team; providing modelling resource, giving input and support through the tender process to help Severfield to win new business.
You will need to be fully experienced in all areas of Tekla Modelling, including building models from scratch, as well as the conversions of other model forms (i.e. Revit) into Tekla. You will also need to be able to accurately interpret drawn information to ensure the accuracy of models produced.
There will be an expectation to work on multiple tenders at any one time, assisting with tender submissions with presentational content.
To be successful in this role you will need to be fully competent with all aspects of Tekla Modelling, as well as have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience working in a Structural Steel environment.
