Our client is a growing manufacturing and design company supplying high-end staging, structures, and props to the entertainment industry. We are looking for a creative, hands‑on CAD Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in bringing exciting designs to life.

Job Responsibilities
  • Produce 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for staging, set pieces, and fabricated assemblies in aluminium, steel, and wood.
  • Oversee projects from concept to completion, liaising with clients, project managers, artistic directors, and fabricators.
  • Generate cutting lists, manufacturing files, and prepare files for CNC routing and laser cutting.
  • Identify and price suitable materials for each project.
  • Occasionally assist in the workshop, prototype builds, and on‑site setups.
  • Communicate designs effectively, ensuring seamless project execution.
Person Specification
  • 2+ years' experience in a CAD design role, ideally within engineering, or fabrication.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Inventor) & Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication & construction techniques, particularly in aluminium & steel.
  • Excellent communication & project management skills.
  • Ability to read & produce technical drawings with precision.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset and a keen eye for detail.
  • Adaptable & hands‑on, willing to support fabrication and on‑site work when required.
  • UK‑based with right to work - occasional travel may be required.
