Salary: Starting at £47,017 (Dependent on Experience)

Your Mission

As a CAD Lead Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative designs and ensuring top-notch quality. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Responsibilities
  • Crafting precise technical 2D drawings and 3D CAD models that meet business best practices and contractual requirements.
  • Managing CAD and product data configuration within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool, Teamcenter, while applying best practices in version control and change management.
  • Collaborating with suppliers, partners, and customers to ensure secure product data transfer and maintain configuration control.
  • Designing with safety, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and maintainability at the forefront.
  • Supporting the creation and modification of technical data pack (TDP) processes and best practice guidance.
Your Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of engineering and quality standards (e.g., BS 8888) with experience in 3D modeling, assembly, and Design for Manufacture.
  • Proficient in drawing standards and the application of geometric tolerances.
  • Understanding of configuration control and workflow release within a PLM system.
  • Engineering design experience, preferably in mechanical engineering.
Desirable
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (ideally Creo Parametric) and PLM tools (ideally Teamcenter).
  • A HNC or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
