Job summary

Porterhouse Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to produce coordinated drawings and technical information for manufacture, installation and project delivery in a glazing context.

The role requires strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), glazing experience (ideally with Schüco), and the ability to interpret drawings, contact with site teams, and manage surveys and coordination across disciplines. Full-time position with UK travel.

Qualifications

• Glazing experience, preferably with Schüco, and knowledge of industry standards.
• Strong CAD skills on AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Ability to interpret drawings, understand technical requirements and deliver projects.
• Office experience with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Clear spoken and written English with good organisational skills.
• Accuracy, independent working and teamwork with commercial judgement.
• Accountability and ability to follow instructions.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and project programmes.
• Discuss technical issues with office and site teams, contractors, auditors and regulators.

Experience and skills

• Glazing experience, preferably with Schüco, and knowledge of industry standards.
• Strong AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent CAD skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings, understand technical requirements and deliver projects.
• Office experience and competence with Word, Excel and Outlook.
