Job summary

Doufre Construction in London is seeking a Design Technician to translate client and architect requirements into detailed designs. You will attend design workshops, produce stage 3 information, and create drawings for tenders.

You will support the Estimating team with your technical expertise and collaborate with the Product Development team to innovate solutions, while managing mock-ups and samples across the business.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for drafting and design tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft Office for documentation.
• Experience in the commercial fit-out industry.
• Strong presentation skills to communicate design concepts.
• Experience creating NBS Specifications.
• Technical coordination with stakeholders and teams.
• Familiarity with glazing, joinery or interior fit-out subcontracts.

As a Design Technician within our Pre-Con Design team, you'll play a crucial role in translating client and architect requirements into detailed designs. Your responsibilities will include attending design workshops, producing accurate stage 3 information, creating drawings for tenders, and supporting the Estimating team with your technical expertise. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with the Product Development team to innovate new solutions and manage mock-ups and samples throughout the business.
