Optical Precision in the United Kingdom is seeking a CAD/CAM Offline Programmer to lead the programming of high‑quality components for CNC milling, ensuring safe, efficient operation and peak capacity, with overtime earnings potential.

You will create toolpaths using Autodesk PowerMill or Fusion, manage multiple machines, interpret complex drawings, and collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to hit strict delivery timelines.

• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot programming issues on the shop floor.
• Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret complex drawings and data.
• Collaboration: Work with production, engineering and quality to meet deadlines.

Salary: £22.00 - £25.00 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• CAM Programming: Create, optimize, and modify precision toolpaths using Autodesk PowerMill or Fusion.

• Documentation: Produce clear, accurate cut sheets and setup documentation for machine operators.
• Problem Solving: Troublshoot programming issues and refine strategies live on the shop floor during production.
• Drawing Interpretation: Read, analyze, and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical data.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet strict delivery deadlines.
