Job summary

Bidfood UK is recruiting a C1 Driver at Reading depot to support nationwide deliveries. You will work daytime hours, Monday to Friday on a 5 out of 7 schedule, totaling 45 hours per week, driving company vehicles safely to Bidfood sites and handling backhaul on route back to the depot.

You must hold LGV Class C+E, be a reliable team player with a methodical and flexible approach, and be prepared to cover holidays and some nights away as required.

Qualifications

• Must have LGV Class C+E qualification.
• Willing to work day shifts, bank holidays and 45 hours per week.
• Able to drive safely on/off loading bays; be a team player with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Drive between Bidfood sites across the country.
• Collect backhaul on route back to the depot.
• Cover holidays as required and perform duties as directed by the line manager.

About the role

C1 Driver

Reading depot is an ambient Hub forms an essential part of the Bidfood operation in delivering excellent customer service to our Bidfood Depot across the country customers.

As a Trunker driver, you will be working during the daytime Monday to Friday on a 5 out of 7 day’s contract, working 45 hours per week.

Your responsibilities will include driving across the country to other Bidfood sites and collecting backhaul on route back to the depot. You will therefore have the ability to drive company vehicles on and off loading bays in a safe manner, complying with company policies and driving legislation. You may be required to cover holidays as and when required, as well as all other duties required by your line manager as well as some nights away.

To be successful in this role you will require a driving qualification of LGV Class C+E and you should be used to working during the day, bank holidays and working to set of performance measures in an ambient environment. You will have an accurate, methodical and flexible approach to your responsibilities and be a good team player who supports our Company values, processes and standards with a positive attitude and a good attendance record.
