Location: Moray

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £31,236 to £35,356 (Salary Point 28 to 32*)

*whilst this is a scale for progression, the starting salary is point 28

Contract: Fixed Term - 24 months (with possibility of extension)

About the Role

SAMH delivers Children and Young People education and support in a variety of locations across Scotland. We are currently developing a new team in Moray to work with schools and communities to support the mental health of children and young people, families and staff who work with them. We deliver a range of mental health capacity building workshops, training programmes, information sessions and resources.

Practitioners will deliver our range of programmes and also provide targeted support to children and young people who are experiencing low mood and anxiety on a one to one or group basis.

What we are looking for

We are looking for individuals with experience delivering individual support and group work to young people around their mental health and wellbeing. They will also be experienced in workshop facilitation, training delivery and development.

With exceptional communication skills and ability to manage own case load, the Children and Young People Practitioner will work flexibly, as part of a team, to deliver the wide range of programmes on offer, whilst ensuring practice is of the highest quality at all times.
