Job summary

Softweb Resourcing Limited is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with a strong C++ background for a fully remote UK role. You will work across C++, Python, React/TypeScript, AWS and AI-assisted development to build impactful fintech solutions.

The role focuses on modern C++ development, microservices, frontend work, CI/CD, and IaC, with opportunities for growth and learning in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial C++ 17/20/23 experience.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with AWS/cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices and CMake.
• Strong Git, testing and Linux/CLI skills.
• Experience with Cursor and/or Claude Code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern C++ code.

Are you a C++ Software Engineer who enjoys variety? Like the idea of working from home with flexible hours, on tech that actually does some good?

We're working with an ethical fintech that's gaining huge traction. They’re growing their small, close-knit engineering team and are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer with a solid C++ background but happy to work with other tools and languages too including React, TypeScript, AWS, Python and AI assisted development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern C++ code
• Build Python microservices and tooling
• Develop React / TypeScript frontends
• Work with AWS, Docker, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
• Support the deployment and scaling of AI / ML services
• Write high-quality, tested and secure code

Requirements

• Strong commercial C++ 17/20/23 experience
• Experience with Python
• Experience with AWS/cloud platforms
• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices and CMake
• Strong Git, testing and Linux/CLI skills
• Experience with Cursor and/or Claude Code

Desirable: Open Banking, fintech/payments, React, OAuth2/OIDC or DynamoDB experience.
