JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a C# Software Developer to work as part of a close-knit development team maintaining and enhancing a cloud-based fuel delivery solution. As a C# Software Developer you will work on a back‑office platform with a web front end integrated with third‑party APIs and Android mobile applications. You will use your knowledge of programming, databases, and cloud services to develop robust, scalable software.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) + benefits including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, group healthcare, employee assistance programme, company pension, modern collaborative work environment and professional development and growth opportunities, free onsite parking.

LOCATION & WORKING HOURS

Hybrid / Manchester, North West England (M17). Full‑time, permanent. Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, flexible start and finish times around the core working hours of 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

DUTIES
  • Develop and enhance a cloud‑based fuel delivery platform built using C# and SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with team to deliver high‑quality, scalable software solutions.
  • Integrate with third‑party APIs and remote Android devices using synchronization and notification services.
  • Design and implement database designs and UI components for a seamless user experience.
  • Manage code using source control tools such as Git.
  • Follow Agile methods to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Provide technical support: troubleshoot and resolve application issues independently and as part of a team.
  • Engage with clients: communicate progress and technical updates to customers and stakeholders.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
  • Proven experience developing applications in C# within a commercial environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud‑based architecture.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server including database design and implementation.
  • Experience integrating APIs and mobile platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience using Agile methodologies and Git source control.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
DESIRABLE
  • Experience in customer‑facing roles or liaising directly with clients.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools.
  • Previous experience within the fuel delivery or logistics sector.
  • Full UK driving licence and passport for occasional travel.
