Oxford Knight in London is seeking a C++ Platform Engineer to join a leading HFT fund focused on quantitative sports trading. You'll own and evolve the sports betting platform, collaborating with technologists and quant analysts on execution, signal generation, modeling and backtesting.

Candidates should have 3+ years' experience, strong C++ (STL, Boost, C++11/14/17/20/23) and Linux, a CS/CE degree, DevOps familiarity, and an interest in cricket or football.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience with Linux and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the sports betting platform across execution, signal generation, modeling and backtesting.

Leading HFT fund looking for modern C++ engineers ideally with a passion for cricket or football to join their growing quantitative sports trading team based in London.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate extensively with technologists and quant analysts as you evolve, improve and maintain all aspects of the sports betting platform, covering everything from execution and signal generation to model building and back testing.

The successful C++ Platform Engineer will love solving difficult technical problems and be comfortable with owning multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ professional experience
• Substantial skills in C++ (Data structures, STL, Boost, C++11/14/17/20/23)
• Solid experience working on a Linux platform
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
• Comfortable being involved in DevOps
• Knowledge of common database technologies
• A passion for Cricket OR Football
• Knowledge of distributed systems, multithreading and/or operating systems
• Interest in (or experience of) sports betting
