Job summary

Synechron is seeking a hands-on C# Developer to join our Belfast-based development team, delivering enterprise-grade applications for a leading global bank. You will design, develop and maintain web apps using C# and the .NET framework/core, and optimise SQL Server databases.

You’ll work with Git, CI/CD pipelines and NUnit testing within an Agile environment, collaborating with QA, UI/UX, and product management. This is a permanent role with three days per week from the Belfast office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with C# and .NET Framework/Core.
• Strong SQL Server experience with design and optimisation.
• Proficiency with Git version control and branching strategies.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience (TeamCity preferred; Jenkins/Azure DevOps a plus).
• Experience with NUnit and unit testing.
• Familiar with performance testing and profiling tools.
• Understanding deployment processes and environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C# and .NET.
• Develop and optimise SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures.
• Manage source code using Git and collaborate via branching strategies.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity (or equivalent).
• Deploy applications to various environments with efficiency and accuracy.
• Write comprehensive unit tests using NUnit or similar frameworks.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure scalability and robustness.
• Collaborate with QA, UI/UX, and product management across the lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs.
