Proactive Appointments Ltd. is recruiting a Mid-Level Back-End C# .NET Developer for a permanent role in Taunton, Somerset. The role is hybrid (2 days on-site per week) and offers a salary up to £50,000 per year plus bonus, pension and excellent benefits.

You will join an established team, work on a range of projects, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2–5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core; RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using C# and .NET Core.

C# .NET Developer

Permanent | Hybrid (2 days on-site per week) | Taunton, Somerset | Up to £50,000 per annum

Our client is looking to onboard a Mid-Level Back-End C# .NET Developer on a permanent basis to join their growing development team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment, while working on a range of exciting projects and gaining valuable experience across the full software development lifecycle.

You’ll be joining an established team where you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside other Junior and experienced developers, contributing to the design and development of new applications and features, and help maintain and improve existing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy efficient, scalable, and maintainable applications using C# and .NET Core (latest versions).
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues and optimise application performance.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work within our Azure infrastructure, utilising its services and tools for deployment and management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2 – 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core (latest versions).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git for version control and continuous integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and a proactive attitude towards overcoming challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for sharing knowledge and mentoring others.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-orientated environment.
