Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of process control systems and engineering documentation.
• Experience with IEC 61508/IEC 61511/ISO 13849/DO-178/DO-254.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor and provide technical direction to teams.
• Background in safety-critical control and instrumentation projects.
• Experience delivering safety solutions aligned to industry standards.
• Proven technical leadership on engineering projects.

Location and Setup

Bristol-based, hybrid working with a blend of office, home and client site activity. Other sites and locations are feasible for experienced candidates. This is a permanent, full-time role.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead C&I and functional safety activities from concept through to implementation and commissioning.
• Support the development of control systems, safety systems and innovative engineering solutions.
• Work across Engineering Consultancy projects within highly regulated and safety critical sectors.
• Manage technical deliverables, budgets, schedules and stakeholder engagement.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of technical capability.

Your Experience

• Degree qualified in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of process control systems and associated engineering documentation.
• Experience applying standards such as IEC 61508, IEC 61511, ISO 13849, DO-178 or DO-254.
• Knowledge of quality management processes aligned to ISO 9001.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide guidance, mentoring and technical direction to engineering teams.
• Strong background in control and instrumentation engineering within safety critical environments.
• Experience delivering functional safety solutions aligned to recognised industry standards.
• Proven technical leadership experience on engineering projects.
• Client-facing consultancy or stakeholder management experience.
