Job summary

MBR Partners in London is seeking a seasoned software developer to own end-to-end delivery for telecom revenue management products. You will design and implement features, perform data-model changes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

The role emphasizes strong C/C++ on Linux, Pro*C, SQL/PLSQL, XML, and Oracle, with SDLC discipline and debugging expertise. A telecom domain background is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5 to 15 years of software development experience.
• Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in Telecoms is an added advantage.
• Proficient in C, Pro*C on Linux, shell scripting, SQL/PLSQL, and XML.
• Experience with Oracle 11+ and Git-based workflows.
• Understanding of SDLC and software design.
• Knowledge of Mediation, Billing, or Online Charging products is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end software development lifecycle from conception to release.
• Understand customer and product requirements before development.
• Design and develop customizations to revenue manager products such as Mediation, Rating, Billing, and Provisioning.
• Make data model changes and conduct code reviews.
• Support testing, bug fixing, and release activities.

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• 5 to 15 years of software development experience
• Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience working in the Telecoms industry is an added advantage
• Good technical skills and experience in C, Pro*C on Linux, shell scripting, RDBMS concepts, SQL, PL/SQL, and XML
• Experience with DBMS technology such as Oracle 11+
• Ability to use source control systems and debugging tools, preferably Git-based
• Understanding of the software development life cycle
• Software design and development experience
• Prior knowledge of the Telecom domain and exposure to Mediation, Billing, or Online Charging products is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the entire software development life cycle from conception to design, development, and release
• Understand customers and product business requirements before commencing development
• Understand current system functionality
• Understand proposed high-level solutions
• Design and develop customizations to revenue manager products such as Mediation, Rating, Billing, Bill Printing, and Provisioning
• Make data model changes
• Conduct code reviews
• Support bug fixing
• Perform unit testing of developed changes
• Support the testing team and resolve issues from testing
• Support the build and release team by providing additional build and release instructions
