Pet’s Choice in the United Kingdom is seeking a Buying Assistant to support the Manufacturing Senior Buyer with day-to-day procurement and administration. You will coordinate orders, monitor stock, and help drive efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will input purchase orders, chase delivery dates, maintain records, and generate procurement reports while developing your career in buying.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administrative role.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organisational skills.
• Competent with Microsoft Excel.
• Comfortable communicating by telephone.

Responsibilities

• Procurement Support: Assist the procurement team with daily operational tasks including supplier communications, documentation, and follow-ups.
• Order Processing: Input purchase orders accurately into the system, chase and confirm delivery dates, ensure records are updated.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, support inventory reconciliation, and help maintain optimal inventory levels; track orders and mitigate risks.
• Data Reporting & Analysis: Generate and maintain procurement reports; analyse purchasing trends and supplier performance.
• Administrative Duties: Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, document control, and scheduling meetings.
