A recruitment agency is seeking a Supply Chain professional based in Cheltenham to ensure smooth stock flow across multiple depots. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT, analytical, and communication skills. Responsibilities include inventory management, forecasting stock levels, and maintaining supplier relationships. This is a permanent part-time position offering 25 days annual leave plus additional benefits.

Job description
Role Purpose

You’ll support the smooth flow of goods across three sites, helping us achieve strong supplier service levels and efficient stockholding.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Make sure stock is available and supply runs smoothly across all depots.
  • Plan and forecast stock levels for 550-1,500 products in your category.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with 80+ suppliers.
  • Review data and trends to help predict future demand.
  • Keep inventory at the right level to meet targets and avoid excess stock.
  • Highlight any stock issues and work with sales/commercial teams to resolve them.
  • Ensure products are ordered and delivered to the correct depot on time.
  • Support buying decisions that help improve category margins.
  • Track supplier performance and raise any risks or delays early.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.
  • Follow best practice in food safety, data accuracy and ESG responsibilities.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong IT, numeracy and administrative skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Problem-solver who takes initiative and follows process.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Desirable
  • Experience in supply chain, stock planning, FMCG or foodservice.
  • Knowledge of forecasting techniques and inventory optimisation.
  • Understanding of procurement, logistics or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with supply chain systems (SAP, Oracle, JDA).
  • CIPS Level 2 or similar (or working towards it).
