Job description

Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for managing strategic supplier relationships? Our client is seeking a talented Buyer (Aluminium and Tubes) to join their dynamic team in Filton, United Kingdom. This position is a contract position until end of June 2026 with probable extension.

As the Buyer (Aluminium and Tubes), you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the company's aluminium supply chain. This includes overseeing key supplier relationships, leading project initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery of cost-saving programmes.

Responsibilities
  • Managing strategic aluminium (extrusions) suppliers and associated projects
  • Driving the company's aluminium procurement strategy and policy
  • Coordinating supplier selection and contract negotiations
  • Enabling and managing the aluminium demand allocation process
  • Identifying and implementing cost improvement opportunities
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a procurement or supply chain professional, ideally within the aerospace industry
  • Strong supplier relationship management skills and the ability to negotiate favourable contract terms
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and the ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Good knowledge of aluminium, tubes, and other raw materials.

As this is a contract role there are both PAYE and Umbrella rates available.
