Responsibilities

  • Purchase a wide range of aircraft parts in line with operational procedures.
  • Timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of parts.
  • Create quarterly Inward Processing Reports for HMRC Customs.
  • Ensure correct export licenses for controlled exports.
  • Chase vendors for material delivery progress.
  • Maintain inventory levels within approved guidelines.
  • Resolve supply chain errors.

The Role
  • Purchase a wide range of aircraft parts, materials and related equipment in line with operations procedures
  • Timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of parts in line with operational requirements
  • Creating quarterly Inward Processing Reports (IPR) for HMRC Customs and Excise
  • Ensuring the correct incoming information and export license are used before controlled exports
  • Secure material delivery progress by chasing vendors and logistics providers
  • Maintain inventory levels within approved guidelines
  • Resolve and investigate supply chain errors
  • Continually improve purchasing methods in a bid to drive down external spending
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for Materials Purchasing
  • Provide clearance information for the responsible courier/freight forwarder for all imports, within the regulations of Customs and Excise
The Person
  • Proven experience in a similar role or purchasing environment
  • Experience with logistics and import/export regulations
