We're looking for a Buyer to work within the Procurement team in Lomondgate.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of sub-categories that will be critical for the production of power generation products at Aggreko's Lomondgate facility. You will own the supply relationships, raise POs for demand created by the manufacturing function, expediting goods and materials, as well as working with other functions such as Engineering, Planning and Stores.

What you'll do:
  • Own a portfolio of suppliers and sub-categories to ensure continued supply of parts & performance is managed appropriately. Lead supplier performance management processes with key suppliers and implement supplier scorecards.
  • Raising purchase orders and update procurement records on our MRP system. Resolve discrepancies, shortages and other day-to-day issues in a timely manner to ensure a seamless delivery of parts.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet stock, production, and project requirements for all owned suppliers and parts.
  • Pro-active management of supplier pricing and pricing negotiations, ensuring pricing is always kept up to date in MRP.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
  • An experienced individual who can play a key part in the Procurement team by taking responsibility for the allocated supplier and sub-category portfolio.
  • Experience working with PO's, Invoice Reconciliation and managing a range of suppliers.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple inputs and data sources.
  • Technically minded - able to understand and learn about a wide range of products and applications.
  • Willing and able to drive activities without day-to-day oversight with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • MCIPS or working towards MCIPS qualification would be a distinct advantage.
