A leading electronics manufacturer in St. Neots is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, strong negotiation and customer service skills, and proficiency in MS Office and MRP systems. This role involves sourcing components, raising purchase orders, and liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.

Coordinate purchasing activities with relevant departments to acquire inventory in a cost-effective and timely manner. Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, and requests for quotes to suppliers where required.
Obtain quotations from vendors and ensure components are purchased and expedited for production requirements. Components should be purchased at the correct specifications and price, and delivered to meet the production start dates.
Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g., material, components). Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontractors to negotiate the highest quality and best value. Develop new supplier sources where vendors are no longer competitive. May recommend cost-saving proposals.
