Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Buyer to join our procurement team on a 12‑month maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high‑impact industry while supporting key supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Place and manage purchase orders with precision and timeliness
  • Attend procurement and cross‑functional meetings at our Crawley manufacturing site
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and benchmark supply chain competitiveness
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Engineering teams on NPI projects
  • Assist the Senior Buyer with negotiations and strategic sourcing
  • Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards through process documentation
  • Resolve supplier invoice queries and manage demand requests
  • Ensure suppliers consistently meet cost, quality, and delivery targets (Total Cost of Ownership)
