Responsibilities
  • Analyze, negotiate and report supplier price changes, while evaluating market trends to develop new services and create cost savings.
  • Select new and alternative sources of the supply of materials and services.
  • Forecast market trends affecting material and service availability.
  • Ensure all purchase requisitions and programmes are correct and reflect the current supplier’s lead times.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years’ experience working as a Buyer/Purchaser within a manufacturing environment.
  • Commercially astute with an ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Qualified to at least HNC level; CIPS certification would be an added bonus.
