Recruit4Staff are representing a leading manufacturing company in a permanent Buyer role based in Ludlow. The role involves ensuring on-time delivery, managing stock and supplier relationships, and negotiating with suppliers to maintain supply continuity.

The successful candidate will have purchasing experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, MRP exposure, and a proven ability to meet schedules. Driving is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role - ESSENTIAL.
• MRP experience.
• Purchasing experience - ESSENTIAL.
• Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing business - ESSENTIAL.
• Proven ability to meet schedules.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Must DRIVE.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on time management and shortage escalation.
• Review stock and inventory control.
• Identify production shortages and escalate issues.
• Resolve invoice queries.
• Liaise with suppliers.
• Negotiate with existing and new suppliers.
• Onboard new suppliers into the company.
• Visit suppliers and audit against SLAs.
• Manage specific projects.
• Obtain accurate price and lead times of materials.
• Work to provided budgets.

Recruit4Staff are pleased to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing company in their search for a Buyer to work in their expanding facility in Ludlow.

For the successful Buyer our client is offering:

• The starting salary is depending on experience
• Days based role 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday
• Permanent position

The Role - Buyer:

• Delivering on time management & shortage escalation
• Reviewing stock / Inventory control
• Identifying production shortages and escalating any issues
• Invoice query resolution
• Liaising with suppliers
• Negotiating with suppliers (Both existing & New)
• Managing new suppliers into the company
• Visit suppliers and auditing against SLA's that are in place
• Managing specific projects
• Obtaining accurate price & lead times of materials
• Working to budgets that have been provided
