As Buyer reporting to the Procurement Manager, you’ll be joining a fast-paced, successful food manufacturing business that is experiencing rapid growth and exciting changes.

This role offers you the opportunity to work in a business that has long-standing partnerships with suppliers, is hugely innovative in terms of its product offering and has invested heavily to facilitate the future growth of the business.

This role will suit an experienced Junior Buyer or Senior Buyer from the food industry who is looking to develop themselves and grow within a business that has strong values and a great reputation in the market.

Day to day, you’ll develop sourcing and category plans to deliver cost savings, innovation, process and product improvement. You’ll be responsible for implementing and delivering procurement strategies across key spend areas within direct and / or indirect categories to ensure that cost-effective purchasing is achieved. You’ll also be looking for opportunities to leverage costs across the business whilst ensuring a continuous supply of raw materials and the delivery of procurement projects.

Ideally, you’ll have 2 + years’ buying experience in food or FMCG manufacturing. You’ll have owned and managed your own category and have a good knowledge of sourcing strategies and supplier communication across categories.
