Location: Surrey

An exciting time to join a leading branded food business as their Buyer or Senior Buyer.

This successful food business has experienced a period of significant change over the last few years. Due to growth, they are looking for a couple of buyers at varying levels to join this award-winning, independently owned food company.

As part of a newly created team, you will report to the Head of Procurement, working with an international supply base and collaborating across all functions within the business, sourcing and buying individual products.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Develop and maintain commercial relationships with all suppliers.
2. Stay up-to-date and become an expert in your assigned product group.
3. Work closely with key suppliers to stay informed about their latest products.
4. Assist with tender submissions.
5. Support Sales, Technical, Supply Chain, and suppliers regarding New Product Development.
6. Research the market and new markets to enhance product ranges.
7. Manage product supply.

You will join a truly entrepreneurial business and be given real autonomy from day one. Candidates should be bright, ambitious, and have demonstrable buying experience in the food industry, along with an entrepreneurial mindset and an organized approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines. An analytical mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and high motivation are also required. Fluency in a second language would be a significant advantage.
