Job summary

Carbon 60 in Filton, Bristol, is seeking a proactive Buyer to join the team. The role operates 35 hours per week with 4.5 days, 7am–7pm, flexible, and 80% on-site. You will drive procurement excellence on prestigious programmes and build strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities include contract management, cross-functional collaboration across design, programme, quality and supply chain, plus negotiation to reduce costs and ensure contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Procurement experience or strong business acumen with procurement knowledge.
• Commercial, contract, or finance knowledge. Excellent stakeholder management and internal customer focus.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in English.
• SAP experience (basic level useful).
• Ability to travel occasionally for business purposes.
• Team player mentality with adaptability and integrity.

Role Details

• Contract Duration: Until August 2027 (possible extension)
• Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, 4.5 days (7am - 7pm, flexible)
• On‑Site Requirement: 80% onsite
• Pay Rate: £35.33 per hour (Umbrella) / £26.41 per hour (PAYE)
