Overview

Buyer (Permanent)

Hybrid working (3 days onsite)

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of raw materials and packaging components for pharmaceutical and supplement manufacturing
• Conduct supplier evaluations and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production planning and meet customer requirements
• Monitor and manage budgets, costs, and inventory levels to support operational efficiency
• Support the Head of Procurement in strategic sourcing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Contribute to the onboarding and coaching of team members in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Ensure compliance with MHRA and BRC standards in all purchasing activities
• Engage with customers and suppliers to resolve issues and align on expectations

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a Buyer role within food, pharma, FMCG, or chemical production
• Ideally experience within an SME background
• MCIPS Level 4 qualified (or working towards it) - we're open to experienced buyers ready to take this next step
• Strong supplier evaluation and relationship management skills
• Ideally around 5 years' experience in buying
