SF are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join our client in Burton on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role sits within the procurement team and will support sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end purchasing process for assigned categories, raise and manage purchase orders, liaise with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times, and work cross-functionally with departments including planning, engineering, and finance. You'll maintain accurate records in internal systems and help drive cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
To be considered, you'll need proven experience in a buyer or procurement role, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience within a manufacturing or engineering setting is preferred, along with knowledge of ERP systems.
