Role & Responsibilities: Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate sourcing.

Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers based on capability, quality, delivery, and reliability.

Manage day-to-day procurement activity to meet MRP demands and ensure on-time delivery.

Lead price and contract negotiations to secure favourable terms, costs, and schedules.

Create and manage purchase orders in line with company policies and compliance standards.

Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and resolve queries efficiently.

Drive cost-saving and supply chain optimisation initiatives to support business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Buyer within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Experience buying into the Steel Industry would be advantageous Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and MRP systems (ERP experience required). Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
