Job summary

Hobbledown Epsom is seeking a bright Kitchen Assistant to help us feed thousands of hungry adventurers. You’ll join a busy family visitor attraction where weekends, school holidays and sunny days keep the rushes coming.

No silver service, just great food served quickly, safely and with a team that knows how to get stuck in. You’ll keep the kitchen running from opening to close, prep, cook and present food, maintain hygiene, stock rotation and assist with deliveries.

Qualifications

• Has Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification or willing to complete one.
• Understands basics of food safety, health & safety and hygiene.
• Organised and able to work at pace.
• Reliable and ready to get stuck in.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Clear communication with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues.
• Takes pride in keeping workspace clean and organised.
• Able to adapt when busy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food quickly and consistently.
• Ensure orders leave the kitchen looking and tasting great.
• Keep work areas clean and organised; report issues.
• Complete food safety, hygiene and temperature checks.
• Rotate stock and manage freshness and waste.
