The Role

This is a predominantly advisory-focused position within a growing corporation tax team. As a Business Tax Senior Manager, you will lead and support complex tax advisory projects, respond to technical queries, and help clients navigate evolving tax legislation. While managing a small compliance portfolio, your primary focus will be on delivering proactive, commercially focused tax solutions.

You’ll work closely with partners and colleagues, manage junior staff, and play a key role in shaping tax strategies for high-profile clients in the CMT sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support tax advisory projects including:
  • Corporate restructuring and demergers
  • International tax matters
  • Tax due diligence
• Manage a small portfolio of large corporate clients:
  • Review corporate tax compliance
  • Identify and implement tax-efficient opportunities
  • Liaise with engagement partners
  • Manage billing and work in progress
• Assist with technical tax queries and contribute to business development initiatives
• Support team leadership, including line management, training, and appraisals

Candidate Profile

• CTA and/or ACA qualified
• Proven experience managing a client portfolio, including corporate groups
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities
• Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines
• Skilled in Microsoft Office; Alphatax experience is a plus
