Job summary

Menzies LLP in Woking offers a January 2027 start for a Fixed Term Contract Business Tax ATT-CTA Trainee. You will join the Tax department and begin the ATT-CTA qualification while gaining practical client-facing experience.

The programme provides mentorship, structured development and exposure to diverse tax work within a supportive team committed to inclusive recruitment and early responsibility.

Qualifications

• Individuals who are collaborative and eager to take on new challenges
• A minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in any degree discipline
• Minimum of 2 x A levels (A-C) and one other A level or equivalent
• 5 GCSEs grades A*-C or 9-4 (including Maths and English Language or equivalent)
• Ability to absorb new information and adapt quickly
• Comfortable working with numbers and demonstrating strong attention to detail
• Clear and thoughtful written and verbal communication skills
• Able to explain financial information in an accessible and supportive manner

• Our Tax teams are responsible for managing and handling various aspects of taxation for individuals, businesses, and organisations. Their primary role is to ensure that clients comply with tax laws and regulations while optimising their tax positions to minimise tax liabilities legally. Overall, our tax team plays a critical role in helping individuals and businesses navigate the complex world of taxation, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and optimising their financial positions within the boundaries of the law.

When you join, you’ll start working towards the ATT-CTA qualification. As an Apprentice you'll get involved with client work as part of a supportive and inclusive team. Our apprentices have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele representing various industry sectors, giving you a well-rounded experience. We prioritise your growth by providing you with a mentor and training manager throughout the programme
