Overview

Salary £25,185 - £25,989 per annum | Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week | Waste Management

Lancashire is the fourth largest local authority in England and covers a huge geographic area and a wide range of communities both urban and rural. Lancashire County Council manages over half a million tonnes of municipal waste each year. The council has a network of waste facilities which includes the direct operation of 16 household waste recycling centres and two waste transfer stations.

Under supervision, the role holder will provide general administrative, clerical and technical support to the Waste Service. This could include:

  • Taking minutes, photocopying and scanning; management of team mailboxes
  • Providing a meet and greet service, including receiving deliveries
  • The provision of general advice and guidance to the public or other service users
  • Arranging of training and appropriate locations
  • Ordering of goods and services
  • Producing financial and management information
  • The use of higher level text processing/spreadsheet/IT skills that involve the use of a range of software packages or data management systems
