Overview

This is a crucial post within Recycling and Waste Business Systems and Technical Support team. It will ensure the effective running of the garden waste collections through managing all administrative aspects of the service and providing excellent customer service to Monmouthshire residents.

High quality business support is essential to enable our staff to deliver services to the standard expected of them. Of utter importance is our interaction with our public and ensuring they get a timely and customer focused response, also our interaction and relationships with internal colleagues to ensure we both provide and receive the best service possible.

Expectations and Outcomes

This role is expected to provide a quality service to highly visible important front line services. You will often be the first port of call for customers and also our staff who require assistance or works undertaken. Work will be expected to be undertaken in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

Garden waste

  • Manage the annual administration of the garden waste system for customer applications and reissue of bags and permits.
  • Continual improvement and system review of the end to end garden waste process ensuring it delivers value and the best experience possible for customers and users.
  • Make recommendations and support in their implementation.
  • Manage any customer queries or service complaints.
  • Ensure garden waste literature and web-site information is kept accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor service performance in particular missed collections, investigate issues and highlight to the management team. Liaise closely with crews to ensure any issues are resolved in a prompt manner.
