  • Handle inbound enquiries and provide customer advice.

Business Support Officer needed in Kingston upon Thames, £15.68ph PAYE – Reference: RQ1630700

  • to process planning applications and carry out all associated admin duties
  • to check planning applications for validity based on both national and local validation requirements
  • prepare and upload application documentation to Document Management System
  • prepare and send out statutory notification letters
  • to have good interpersonal skills and the ability and initiative to liaise and negotiate with the public, external agents and organisations, Council members and other Council departments;
  • Strong verbal written and presentation skills;
  • to handle a diverse and competing workload and work to tight deadlines;
  • to notify agents/applicants of reasons for invalidity of planning applications where applicable;
  • dealing with inbound enquiries and providing advice to customers;
  • an understanding of the terminology and planning application process would be preferable;
  • good organisational, communication and IT skills will be required, including prioritising and allocating work to meet deadlines.

This is a full time role on a Temporary contact basis.
