A local government authority in Gloucester is seeking a proactive Business Support Officer to provide administrative support within a social work environment. We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our team, providing essential administrative support within a busy social work environment. Key responsibilities include handling telephone enquiries, taking messages, and ensuring timely communication with Social Work staff. The role involves monitoring generic mailboxes, picking up and actioning tasks, preparing documents using Microsoft Word, and updating spreadsheets in Excel. You will also be responsible for creating and uploading documents to our bespoke database, Liquid Logic (full training will be provided). As a customer-facing role, you will split your time between office based working and at the Barbican Reception front desk, offering a professional and welcoming service to all visitors.
