Purpose of the Job

Business Support Officer - Planning, Transportation & Environment

  • Process planning applications and carry out all associated administrative duties.

  • Check planning applications for validity based on national and local requirements.

  • Prepare and upload application documentation to the Document Management System.
  • Liaise and negotiate with the public, external agents, and organisations.

  • Handle a diverse workload, prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines.

  • Deal with inbound enquiries and provide advice to customers.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Show good organisational, communication, and IT skills, including prioritising and allocating work to meet deadlines.
